Google Map Update

Right out of the box, google map displayed my location perfectly. On 2/8/10, following an update, my location is displayed incorrectly - considerably incorrectly.
Suggestions?

this is with google maps 4.0? is the little dish icon in the upper right blinking when you open maps ?

NO, and no dish

Figured it out - had turned off the antenna via power control widget - sorry for the false alarm - please don't take my money.

same here. unbelievably accurate. today, 3 locations, way off. almost missed an appt. would not even take me to the right road. it's like the stupid thing is trying to outthink you or something. just take me to the location i gave you, don't try to talk me into a different road.

i need google nav. what the heck are we supposed to do?

my location show me some where else but no dish icon now think it was there be for and it wasnt working

if after an update you have issues.... the official google apps have an "uninstall upgrades" option when using the "downloads" feature in the market.... try that and see if it fixes the issues

My suggestion is just to wait it out.

Google has been releasing so many updates for the Maps and Goggles apps to prepare them for the 2.1 update coming soon. Updates are good and usually beneficial.

It's really too bad that Verizon doesn't provide their VZ Navigator for FREE with this phone and the required $29.95 smartphone plan.
