So I just got my Droid today, and what's really confusing me is the memory card. I'm trying to figure out which folder I need to put my pictures/videos in using my computer. Do they both go in DCIM? Or elsewhere?

Also, where would I go to find my sounds stored on my card too? I can access only a few of them thru the music player, and the rest I have no clue as to where to find them.

One last thing: is it possible to save pictures that are sent to me thru texts? If so, where do they get stored. I've tried and I can't seem to find them.

    Please help! Thanks!

If you use your computer, you can just create a folder and call it "Videos" if you're transferring. But, when you take pictures and shoot video with your Droid, it all goes in the DCIM folder automatically.

For sounds, I'm almost positive system sounds are stored in the ROM (internal file system). But if you have an app that downloads sounds or you get them from the internet, they're in either "downloads" or whatever folder the application created. If you want to put files into your SD Card to use as ringtones and notifiations, you need to create those folders.

Android is based on Linux, so it's case sensitive:

    Notifications
    Ringtones

    Should be self explanatory.

Music can be thrown on there and be sloppy, but it'll work. Or you can create a Music folder.

Or... use Doubletwist and sync it.
