Hey, I'm new on here, and the main reason I joined is to ask this question. I just recently (3 saturdays ago) bought a Motorola Droid A956 from the flea market for $150. great condition, no scratches, no wear, perfect looking phone. problem is when I went to activate it on my Verizon account they told me it had been reported stolen. My question is, what can I possibly do to activate this thing so that I dont lose all my money? I went back to that flea market 2 times to try to get my money back from the vendor who sold it to me, and hes disappeared like Kriss Angel or some crap, surprise surprise. I should have known better, but now im just trying to not lose all my money on this thing. Can I buy a damaged one on Ebay and is there some chip I can change out to get it activated or something? theres gotta be something I can do to activate this phone right? or should I just go ahead and throw it in the nearest dumpster?
