Call 1-800-801-1101 for warranty replacement, explain the problem, and they will tell you if it is covered or not. If it is, they send you a replacement & you send yours back. If it is not, go to a wireless repair store & they will remove the plate & clean it out for 5 or 10 bucks. How to find a repair store??? Well, they are few & far between, call your local Cingular store & ask if they know of any... you may have to call a couple stores as they are not affiliated. Another option: buy the appropriate tool & get a compressed can of dusting air ($2 @ office depot, staples, etc), remove the plate, dust without thouching the internal components, & put er back on. Please use discression, don't void your warranty by screwing something else up. Be careful not to bump the speaker out of place. Hope this helps

I hate it when people get other people all roused up. Don't jump the gun. The warranty covers what the warranty covers. It is in writing, request a copy. I'm not saying that it won't cover this, but first of all DO NOT threaten cancelling service. You think that rep cares if you cancel??? They All they do is cancel the service & then you are billed a high termination fee. And DISPUTE CANCELLATION CHARGES???? They hire lawyers to cover their tails, so any argument you claim against them is already covered in fine print. How do you argue a warranty that is in writing? Over DUST??? That is due to user/environmental conditions, not necessarily manufacturers defect.... yes, the phone should have been designed better, so maybe they will cover it as a courtesy. But they don't LEGALLY have to do anything that is not in writing. So dispute cancellation charges? You don't pay, you go to collections, your credit is f'd. Boy you'll show them...
