Some people say the silver has a 20,40, and 60 second backlight option, while the Black only has 5,10, and 20.

I have heard that black has some hardware and software problems although for most of us those small issues wont matter. You can take your chances or wait a few months.

My Black unbranded unlocked Razr has the 60 second settings, no software/firmware issues here so far...

My black one has a 60 second backlight option and no software issues I have seen, some say that the black one does video but mine does not, I think you need edit the phone's software to unlock video recording. Its pretty lame that the ability to record video is in the phone, yet it is locked away so another carrier can sell the razr and advertise that there’s does video as well.

I feel great, my phone has the video record, but does not have the 60 second backlight option.

No, I'll never go that deep into it with the probablity of blowing it up. I don't mind the 20 second backlight problem, really. But it would be nice if there was just a little button you could press to solve the problem.

you can use one of the p2k's to change the backlight lenght or set it to always on if you want. simple point and click. You should learn to sem edit though, it's not complicated and you will have a much better understanding and control of what changes are made. Video can be added by either flashing and or flexing or by doing simple seem edits depending on what software versions your phone has. It's also not possible to blow the phone up! Not with updates anyways! lol

Thanks alot for that johnny, strangely my box says packed in the E.U., not manufacture, but when i removed the battery it says assembled in Singapore, also my box doesn't say video recording capable, could it be that yours is an unbranded unlocked version that was originally made for T-Mobile since they have the video recording enabled? just a thought, either way that's great that yours came that way..
