Just got my RAZR V3

I'm just wondering, is there certain software I must download to get the Razr to see my computer?

Also, I can just use this usb cable from Radioshack right?

Yes on the cable and you will need mpt for ringtones and BACKgrounds and midway for your games.

I just got MPT but what's Midway? Where can I get it? Thank you for being patient with me.

Midway can be downloaded from my sticky at the top of this forum and it allows you to download games to your phone

Pst is a seem editing software, and if your a newbie than I wouldn't advise using it, but with the screen, I haven't had a problem with mine as of yet.

Just got the new one back, charging the battery! Is it true that I must charge it for 24 hour before ussage in the beginning?

No just until you get a charge complete then you can take it off, there's no point in leaving it on there if it's not charging.

Hmmm, I can't seem to get Midway 2.8 to work. I went and found that the v3 is on com port 3. It says it can't open that port or something like that. I'm using a usb cable...

What am I doing wrong?

Almost all the programs used to transfer pics ringtones games etc have bugs or mess up for some reason or another, you may want to disable your firewall and virus scan until after their downloaded and installed. I had the same problem until I did this and occasionally still have small problems here and there. Also if you have a bluetooth dongle it makes it 100 times easier.

Also some files just wouldn't transfer for me.????? They weren't all that important so I never asked around to find out as why but I'll check around to see what I can find.

I'm glad to see you got something to work, I would have mentioned p2k (or maybe I did????) but the only application I've seen it used for is seem editing sorry but that one slipped right by me.

Hey for the background, how come the max size is 6kb? Or at least the phone compress it to 6kb after I upload.
