So I’ve been debating what phone to get when my contract with Cingular expires in a few months. Now that Motorola has broken the news that they’re going to combine the ROKR and the RAZR into one, I think the choice is clear.
I’m not thrilled to admit that I'm a sucker for trends, seeing as how in the rankings of the most popular cell phone trends of 2005, the RAZR comes in first place as the ultimate “high-tech status symbol”…
That said, I’ve decided I’m going to hold out for the same sleek design and iTunes capability of the Motorola V3i, a Bluetooth and airplane mode compatible phone which comes with a 1.23 megapixel camera, video capture and playback, and a mini-USB stereo headset.
RAZR, you’re looking better and better…

Have you seen the RAZR V3x? Kinda spendy, but it has all the features of the V3i, plus a 2 megapixel camera.

Being that I'm looking to buy a RAZR in the next cpl of weeks, should I be holding out myself? What's the deal with this announcement?

Well I found a site that's selling the RAZR v3i for $500 (no contract required): http://www.cellularconcepts.com/phon...roduct_id=3276
but that seems $500 is a little too steep to me - I'm going to wait another month and see if I can find it for less...

the v3i is good, however not all v3i's have itunes, most have the Digital Audio Player that comes on the v360 and e398. Its a good phone and has great features, and on the v3x, those are a bit on the fatty side, not as thin as the razr at all, but thats what happens when you get a 3g handset i guess.
