In the Settings menu, under Personalize, there is a field called Greeting. I type in my name and I assume it would display it on my home screen. It doesn't! Why? How do I get it to do that? I tried everything, remove screen savers, wallapers, etc,. Please enlighten me. Thank you.

At least on the V3c from Verizon (it may be different for the regular GSM V3), the "greeting" shows up only when you turn on the phone. You will need to change the "banner" in your display settings (consult your user manual) to have your name on the home screen.

If you have a GSM RAZR then Paul is correct..... the Greeting is something that appears only when you turn on the phone. If you're wanting to change the banner on the home screen..... to make it say your name instead of the carrier's name ...... then you will have to SEEM edit the phone.

So, with the GSM Razr, there is no "Banner" option in the display menu? Wow, finally something Verizon did right!
