Hi, I am new here so first off....Hello !
I just got a RAZR V3 about a month ago and I didnt get a case with it so I kept it in my pocket. Now I notice it has lint or dust or....whatever behind the LCD screen and I can't get it out. It don't really hurt the function of the phone, it just bugs the crap out of me everytime I open it up.
Is there anyway to get that out ?
Thanks !

Re: Motorola RAZR trouble.....
Well, after doing some research, I think I need a special type of screw driver to replace the case... but will that let me get to the lint that is stuck between my LCD screen ?

Re: Motorola RAZR trouble.....
if you are careful you can lift the inside plastic cover that is over the inner lcd (is only stuck on, not screwed on) by running something sharp of pointy around the edge of it. Then you can blow out the dust and put the cover back on. If you want to be safe I can sell you a replacement cover so if you break yours, or if it is scratched or does not stick back down you can replace it. Let me know

Re: Motorola RAZR trouble.....
That's a common problem with Razrs, if you take your phone back (and hopefully you bought it from a corporate store) they can replace the handset for you.

Re: Motorola RAZR trouble.....
Thanks for the help !! I did what jeff-fro said and it worked fine. I used a razor blade to lift it off. I put a Body Glove cell suit on it now and hopefully that will remedy it from happeneing again.

My wife has a leather cover with a magnetic fastner on her Razr but it has that swivel too. Besides, hers stays in her purse... mine actually gets taken to work with me and is subject to everyday bumps, bangs, and drops. My Bluetooth hands free headset works good too but I work in an auto factory and its quite loud in there so I actually have to have my phone on me. A good case will be a must for me as I won't be keeping it in my pocket anymore.
ETA:
Couple more questions...
1)- Is there any other place to download the phone tools for hooking up my PC to my Razr ? My crappy dial up keeps timing out on that 45meg file.
2)- I use Cingular and was wondering..If I drop this dialup, can I use Cingulars wireless broadband for my PC, laptop, and my Playstation Portable using my Razr as a modem ? I can't get DSL or cable where I live and Satellite is too expensive even for me (and not even close as good as cable or DSL). heck, my phone barely even gets a signal in my house and I even have to be upstairs for that, lol.
3)- Any one have any advice on software to edit MP3's ? I need to cut some songs down to use as ringtones. I would just buy the ringtones but so far as I have seen.. Megadeth, Slayer, Morbid Angel, and Deicide are not options as of yet, lol.
Thanks in advance for any more help.Last edited by retic72; 04-04-2006 at 09:46 PM.

Re: Motorola RAZR trouble.....
As far as leather cases go, I haven't received it yet but I just bought a leather flip case (not a pouch) that doesn't have a swivel clip on it, so it's perfect for pocket carry. Just go to ebay and do a search on "Motorola Razr Trinity". You can get one for any of the V3 models. Make sure you choose the "Uni" version.
