In the menu of the Razr V3 in one of the menus its says MP3 ready and when I select it, it says yes. Does this mean that this phone can accept MP3's? If so, how? Does it act like a portable mp3 player? Please let me know. Thank you.

It can use mp3's as ringtones. If it is the V3i or V3x, it should have a slot in it to put a trans flash memory card in it, which can be used to store mp3's, then play them back using the phone's built in mp3 player.

also accepts midi files wich usually sound better than mp3s, however i don't know atm how to create then upload midi files.

192kbps or less, yes they take a lot memeory as well as the video.

You can purchase ringtones online, or use MPT software with a data cable. MPT allows you to crop music files from your pc and transfer them to your phone.

Well...I'll be damned....they do. It's about time Moto got wise to this. Now if they'd just get em over to the CDMA sets, I may even consider.....lol...naw...I couldn't bring myself to own one of these things. Every time I use one I feel like I am going to break it.

I was just as surprised to see this too. And you're right, it's about time Motorola jumped on the removable memory bandwagon. Not only that, but did you see the 2 megapixel camera on the V3x? Nice feature, even though I would probably never hinge a phone purchase on what kind of camera it has, no matter how nice it is...

Re: Is the Razr V3 MP3 ready?

alright, i still have one more question, so far.. my phone doesn't have a headphone jack. is there an adaptor or anything i can buy for it, that plugs into it, and then lets me plug headphones or whatever into it? my sister has a ROKR, and i know she has a white cable that she has plugged into the phone, but i don't know if she has a headphone jack or not... or do i just have to listen off of the phone speakers?

    And they are.....soon.

Boss, i'm surprised you hadn't heard about the v3i and v3x? they have been available through independent cell phone shops and the v3i is coming to Cingular very soon.
