Im getting another RAZR under my warantee because the volume on my old one is too low, even at the setting 7. I just dont want them sending me a locked phone, because i want to continue transfering data from my comp to phone or vice versa. (I have T-Moblie if that makes any difference) So is it the phone itself that is locked, or is it the sim card? Will they send me another simcard? Can I just transfer the sim card in my new phone no?

Re: Im getting another RAZR. Question:

You should try getting one entitled "sim free". That means it already comes unlocked, and you can use it on whatever network you please. But even if you do settle for a locked one, it can under most circumstances be unlocked. But if your getting one from the same place you bought your current one, then in theory they should supply one with the same set up. Good luck, but before doing this, I reccomend looking at any reviews, or asking your friends if they had the same problem. If they did, then there's no need to send it back, unless you really want it louder.

The phone being locked to T-Mobile will not affect your ability to transfer multimedia to your handset, and/or use your current sim card.
