    Hi all,

I have what I hope is a simple question...but yet I've read the manual and can't find instructions for what I am trying to do.

I would like to assign different ring tones to different people. In my last Samsung phone, I assigned people to "groups" and then gave the group its own ring tone. On the Razr, there seems to be something similar "categories" but I have been unable to actually add phone numbers to these categories.

Maybe I've overlooked the instructions, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it very much.

    Thanks!

There are a few different types of Razr's on the market, and without know what type of phone it is...I really couldn't give you the steps necessary to do this.

Please, could you please tell us who your provider is so we can help you further?

But to say in general. Can you go into your contacts and assign each one to a group? As in go in and edit the contact, and add that contact to a group?

If it's the RAZR V3(GSM) then you should probably copy the contacts you would like to set ringtones for, to the phone memory instead of the sim card. What you need to do is highlight the contact you want to set a Ringer ID for, then select VIEW, then select EDIT, scroll down to Store To and select CHANGE. Highlight Phone and then press SELECT. More options should pop up, go down to Ringer ID and select which ringtone you would like and there you go!
