    hey guys/gals,
yes, I'm a newb to the cellular world so dont get to fired up with this question if it been asked a million times. I've searched the site but haven't really found a clear answer though. My service provider is Alltel and I am looking into buying a RAZR, but Alltel only offers the V3c. However, Verizon offers the V3m which is a CDMA phone which I would rather have. Is there any place I can get a V3m that isn't (I don't know what you really call it)"pre-programmed" for Verizon and could get Alltel to activate service to. If not can I buy Verizon RAZR V3m and have it switched to Alltel without messing it up, considering Alltels software would be for the V3c.I don't want to get the V3m and not be able to use the features that make it different from the V3c. Again, don't be too mad at the questions. I'm new to this. Thanks so much.

    Re: RAZR V3m question...

If you buy the V3m and flash it to the Alltel V3c, you will lose all functionality of the V3m. Despite their obvious cosmetic similarities, they are completely different phones.

You will just have to wait until Alltel gets the V3m for themselves.
