razr.. screen.. broke.. showing color lines(inner dsply)

i bought a clv31 specifically so i would not drop my razr when running from delivery to delivery(chinese foo). the fudge magnet came undone and out flew my razr, my 4th razr, down down down to the hard concrete sidewalk....viola, my inner display now shows color bars, the phone works, i can make calls, i can't see who i am calling or see my phone book. i pay cash money each month for insurance.

i was using a motorola case, will moto cover or repair my phone free of charge or do i need to use the insurance and pay the $50 fee ?

i highly doubt motorola will cover the charge, but give their customer service a ring. there are a few CSRs that will try to help you out provided you are respectful and polite

Those are the oprative words "respectful and polite" you'll see that most csr's will go out of their way to help someone whose nice to them. They usually get crapped on all day.

dude...omg, Cingular gets mucho cookie points in meh book again. i called Cingular today after trying to deal w/ Motorola directly because of the phone dropping out of a Motorola case. I had the worst experience w/ Motorola, I do not reccomend anyone call them, worst of the worst, they wasted two weeks of my time w/ me sending my phone to them, they did not contact me at any point to see if i even wanted to pay them cash money to fix it, they send my broken phone back w/ a bullcrap letter basically telling me i lied or "extreme outside forces could have caused the case to open" and then they say the phone has liquid damage, the phone certainly has physical damage, no liquid damage, not even rain, the dot is white too.

anyway, i called Cingular, they fixed everything, yes i am allways nice and polite, even when i tried dealing w/ Moto directly. actually after 2 hours of being on the phone Moto after i recieved my broken phone back, i kind of lost it, the Moto rep was being completely rude to me and gigiling , i kind of went off and finally got to a Moto supervisor who then assured me they would email me more shipping labels to send back again and they would process the repair in 3-5 business days. i called Cingular, told them about my bad experience w/ Moto and they are overnighting a new phone.

Cingular is freakn great, so many more positives w/ them.
