This is disappointing, my brand new RAZR V3i has marks on its screen from the raised lines around the keypad. I never slam my phones shut. I had this same problem with my moto V600 I had 2 years ago, why cant motorola just leave a larger gap between the screen and keypad?
At least it appears the raised lines are somewhat soft and the marks can be wiped away (only to show up after closing the phone), but does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Does your RAZR keypad scratch your screen?
All razrs do that (sadly). Motorola keeps it like this to make the phone as thin as possible.
Just keep a screen cleaner handy

Re: Does your RAZR keypad scratch your screen?
My V3c does not have that problem. I get "greasy" lines that wipe away very easily. I have no permanent damage from the rubber ridges between the keys. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Funny, when I saw the features of the phone when it first came out, one thing it emphasized was that very thing, it (supposedly) would not scratch the inside lens.
Gliff, does it only happen when you haven't shaved?

Re: Does your RAZR keypad scratch your screen?
Not sure about the other RAZRs, but I've got a newer V3m, and there's a definite space between the screen and the keypad. In fact, if you look at it from the edge (on the side) while the phone is closed, you can see right through the gap. I'd take a pic of it with my cell phone camera, but ... uh ...

My E815 gets "button prints" too, but they wipe right off.

Re: Does your RAZR keypad scratch your screen?
Some of the older V3's had rubber screw caps (for lack of a better word) that where thinner than the newer ones and although they kept the screen from touching the metal part of the buttons when jammed in your pocket with other things or if anything press really hard on your pocket it wouldn't stop the screen from being scratched, sorry it seems you have this problem

I haven't seen any scratches on my V3c. I usually carry it in my pocket and haven't had a problem.
