I see that some versions are problem plagued whilst others are not, enough to know some of them by name over thier cousins, but thier all tarred an feathered as if their all faulty, poppycock.
Thier is no problems with stiff or awkward buttons mine(x3) and friends that own them have not had this issue, the returns may be more due to people expecting chevy truck tuff fromthem instead of toyota echos.
Only common problem i see,is thier crippled like any other phone.
Oh an btw, fashion is fleeting an marketing lets us know this.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
I don't think that the buttons are stiff. I think they're hard to press for text messaging or whatever. If you like the buttons, more power to you. I hate the buttons, but it's my opinion. The only manufactured problem I see with buttons is that the menu button seems to come off. That little silver circle is only glued on, but if it comes off, it's a pain to try to hit the menu button.
And you're right. Not all of them are bad...but most of them are. I'm not exaggerating when I see the majority of RAZRs sold in my store come back to my store in a matter of days. Sometimes it takes a few months, then the UI starts to lag and it takes 5 minutes to get the phone to react to anything. Motorola tends to make bad phones. Actually, I think the last phone that came from Motorola that didn't end up having at least one mass known problem was the C333/C343, and those got terrible reception. The V260 and V265 were junk. The V276 was better, but you had to deal with the charging port going bad. The V710 was recalled. The E815 works well most of the time, but has a text messaging flaw. The RAZR keeps coming back to me. I love the V325, and I sell it all the time.
In any case...I would sell the VX8300 over the RAZR any day of the week. It does all of the same stuff, but the mp3 player is easier to use and the speakers are a lot better. The LGs rarely stop working either (unless the user pulls out the metal frame surrounding the charging port...which happens more often than you might think). I would rather someone leave my store satisfied that they have a piece of equipment that will do what they want it to and will last the duration of a 2 year contract.
EDIT: Oh yeah. The 8300 is cheaper too.Last edited by spum; 08-31-2006 at 06:59 PM.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
Wow, i am stunned.
You honestly think the c333 is a better phone then the V's?
Omg, the c333, was the biggest piece of crap i have seen other then old audiovox's, and ericcson's before sony merger.
The store which i worked in sold them with a unwritten warranty to return and replace once a month, as they wouldn't last a month, the ericcsons.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
I only sold the C333 and C343 for about a month until they were discontinued so it's entirely possible that I missed out on all of the fun problems they had. But based on personal experience, I've had to deal less with the C333/343 than any of the V phones (minus the V325 which kicks all kinds of ass).

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
You know, after reading about the craze behind them. I admit thier being milked, an by a society that aparently wants them.
I did not buy mine for color,or am concerned with the color, other then mines grey an wifes is pink type of thing, i do not lust a black one or white one and did not think about the crave for this.
I am a man, i think about a foot-print of a device, where as my wife, thinks about the foot-wear for the occasion.
Sorry for o/t'n the thread, how very bad of me.
Peace

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
With the V3i...is there a way to turn your iTunes into ringtones on your phone? I figured this feature would come standard but I can't find anything for it yet. I figure there's some way to do it.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
No, unless there's some seem edit, but why bother when you can use MPT to convert the songs to the legth you need them. You obviuosly have the cable and the songs all you need now is the software.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
The Motorazr V3 is too pretty. I'm scared to remove it from the box as I know it will get scratched-up, dropped or lost. The phone is sexy and sleek. Too pretty to use. It belongs in a museum. Eventually, I will use her. She is already activated. I am concerned that she only has 5 Mb of memory, that is very low. Imagine a computer with only 5 Mb of memory. I couldn't get the improved version as I can only deal with T-Mobile.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
I think I used to have a computer with only 5 Mb of memory. It was awesome. The monitor had the best graphics I've ever seen, and it only displayed in black and green!
If I were you, I'd just put your V3 back in the box and wait for the KRZR. It looks way better anyway.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?
I think overall it's a good phone, but it makes me mad when I see a phone everywhere. At least the V3i and K1 stand out...somewhat.
Oh, and why do these boards say that someone posted something when they didn't? spum hasn't put anything here since 9.13!Last edited by char777; 11-05-2006 at 07:45 PM.

Most likely someone posted some junk or spam and it was deleted before you got a chance to visit the site.
