Is the charger made by a 3rd party manufacturer? I have tried a few different kinds of 3rd party chargers, with mixed results. Some worked, some didn't. Now I only buy chargers made by Motorola, and never have a problem with them not charging my phone. | |||||||

Take it back to the store you bought it from. There is obviously a short or something in the plug on your charger.

Have had the same problem with my v3 saying unauthorized charger and now it sometimes says the same about the charger that came with the phone, not sure what to do other than take it back... | |||||
