Razr V3m

i just ordered my phone from verizon, and i'm so confused about this thing.

#1 the CD provided includes no option to install drivers, nor do i see any drivers when i browse the disk

#2 i have no USB cable to plug into my computer. i have one cable that connects mini-USB to wall outlet. then i have another which connects mini-USB to a very small female end (maybe 1/8" connector), i have absolutely no idea what to do with the second cable.

can someone please explain to me how i even sync this thing up to my computer. am i missing cables here? what about the CD, where are the drivers?

The drivers are not included with the phone.

The USB cable is not included with the phone. The 2nd cable you are speaking of is the adaptor for a wired headest.

You need to buy the Music Essentials Kit from Verizon. It includes the USB cable to plug your phone into the PC. It also includes the software you need to sync music (the USB drivers and Windows Media Player 10. You must have Windows XP running on your PC.) The kit also contains also a pair of headphones that plug directly into the mini-USB port on your phone. Of course, none of this stuff will work unless you have a memory card, as the phone has less than 30MB of total user available memory

thanks for your help. i actually have a mini-USB to USB cable for my digital camera, and i really just wanted to maybe transfer a few songs as ring tones. i already have a 60 gig video ipod, so playing MP3s of from my phone is not very important to me.

there must be some where you can download the drivers? i hope.

Try going to google and searching V3M Charger Driver, then selecting the one from the fourm. I downloaded that and it seems to work fine for me.

You cannot use verizons vcast program to make ringtones. You must have MPT and seem edit your phone then get all the drivers. The V-Cast thing will not help any except to clean out your wallet.

Nobody even mentioned V-Cast in this thread....

The program you are talking about from verizon is a vcast program. That program will only allow you to transfer music to your phone
