Razr v3 Vs Razr V3i

I was looking at getting an unlocked Razr to throw my sim in instead of my Nokia. Which Razr is better? The v3 or the v3i. I guess the question really is, does the v3i pack enough of a punch to justify it over the v3?

The V3i has a flash memory slot; the V3 does not.

I have the V3 and am very happy with it. The only thing it's missing that I would like is the higher-speed EDGE data access (it only has GPRS). The V3i has the same issue.

So the flash-memory slot is pretty much a workaround as opposed to having to pay to email pictures through the provider?

That alone might be enough to go for the v3i. Although I think the black v3 looks pretty sweet.

Well, there are a couple of things the V3i has that the V3 doesn't.

Things the v3i has that the v3 doesn't have:

-1.23 megapixel camera
-The v3i is an itunes cell phone. Only downside is that you can only put 50 songs on it.
-Memory card slot.
-I'm not sure if the v3 has a video camera but the v3i does.
-Sexier look :-D

Is there anyway to remove iTunes because thats a pretty big negative in my book.

That can be fixed. There is a hack to allow it to take 1,000 songs. I don't know how to do it, but there are a few people on these forums that know how to do it. Ask around if you are interested.

v3i. It's an upgrade from the v3.

There still aren't any face plates for the V3i right? I searched here and none were found, I would like to buy a gold one (w/o the gold phone price).

There is a non iTunes version that comes with Motorola's Digital Audio Player version and that is what I got. I'm pleased with it. Not a big "Cult of Apple" fan here so I feel your pain with the iTunes idea.

The original poster was asking about advantages and disadvantages. The V3i is an upgrade and does have a few additions the V3 doesn't. But the biggest difference is the MP3 player. If listening to MP3 music isn't important to you, then getting the V3i isn't a big deal.

Having two cell phone lines and using both the V3i and the V3, I can tell you that the V3 does have slightly better reception. I know others who have made this observation too.
