Razr can't Read my simcard

i got a razr from my friend and he said that it went threw the wash i got it checked out and all it needs is a new battery and a sim card reader. I got two questions

1. Can i steal the simcard reader of my old sony erricson t610
2. How do you take it out and change it

You can try putting it into a PC and formatting it.

Sim card reader? if the phone is locked through it's carrier you will have to get it unlocked for it to read your sim card.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people seem to lose their phones in their washing machines, pools, toilets, glasses of ice tea and so on. Some people seem to be fated to drowning their phones.
