Txt message I didn't send...

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and I have a question. Recently a friend of mine received a text message listed from me that I did not send. How is this possible and could this be a Verizon issue? Of course Verizon is absolutely no help. Oh and I dont know if it matters but my phone is a Motorolla Razor and my friends is a LG V cast. Thank you again!

Sounds like this was done through e-mail. Someone simply forged the FROM: header.

It is actually rather easy. I've done it a few times to a friend to get him back for playing jokes on me (friend has an ex girlfriend who is a psycho -- and I text msg him pretending to be his ex gf telling him how much she misses him). How is this done? Simple. Go to the carrier's website and send a text message from the carrier's text messaging site and put in whatever name you want as a sender.
