Yesterday, I got this new red razr v3m. There was a special at this new alltel place for a free razr for signing up for 2 years. MY contract needed to be upgraded and hell, a free razr, come on, who wouldn't take that? But anyway, got it, the battery died since it was only partially charged. So I charged it until it said charge complete...which was about 3 hours. I left it turned on all night, and well, this morning the battery was down to one bar. The battery meter says 2 out of 6. No one called, no messages, it just sat there and the battery went down that far. Ive heard the standby time is about 6 to 9 days. What happened here? Why did it die so quickly? And not even used during the night.

Tell me this is because its a new phone and battery that i need to let it die completely before charging again or something? I went after this phone because my other phone, I had to charge every other day. (It would have a full charge and id use it once and it would go down to one bar, then go back up after i stopped using it, frustrating.)

Can someone tell me what I need to do or at least what the deal is here with this phone/battery?
