    alright so my razr v3i seems to work fine except when i go to read messages my phone just shuts off and turns back on. Does anyone know what could the problem? thanks in advance.

    I see you are with cingular wireless,
    now you could try to go to your local cingular wireless (AT&T) dealer, and tell the to do a HARD RESET, that could be the problem like camstuf said.
