mp3 ring tone frequency question

I have downloaded several mp3 ring tones to my v3m, but those that are relatively low frequency mono (11025 hz) will not play when I select them on my v3m contacts edit menu. The mp3's that are higher frequency stereo (44100 hz) will play when selected.

Any ideas about how I can get the lower hz mono mp3's to play?

Figured it out - converted the file from lower frequency mono to higher frequency stereo by exporting/importing through ITunes. Then downloaded to the v3m. Now it will play.
