I am new here and would love to know how to unlock a Razr V3,my husband bought one for me at a yard sale the ppl told him it would work, but when he got home & I put my sim card in it all it does is "enter subsidy password" it has TMobile printed on the back, and my provider is Unicel. Can you please help me? He gave $50 for this phone and unless I can use it,that's money flushed. I'm afraid to try the paid places to have it done, because I ahve already read sometimes they don't work.

    Re: Unlock

First you need some hardware, nothing fancy, you need a mini B-5pin USB, drivers for the USB, need a program software P2K and unlock moto software. It's a little project, but it's worth it. The bootloader for the Razr V3 start usually with a 86, you have to downgrade it to 07.DO. I just unlock one today and try 3 different sim cards, they worked. I saved the instructions and I am willing to email it to you but only if the site allowe me to. Love testing, good luck.

There are plenty of 'remote unlocking' websites that can do this for you for about $20 all you need is a usb cable with a mini adaptor, even one from a digital camera will work.

    Re: Unlock t-mobile's subsidy password

    Hello all,

I just joined the forum this morning in a desperate attempt to find the information on how to unlock a motorolla razor. I'm not quite sure how to respond or post with 'quoting' someone so please forgive any errors.

I live in the Houston area, and have service with at&t.

When hurricane Ike came thru we lost power for several days. Unfortunately, I forgot I had my Nokia 8362 plugged in. When our power was restored, a power surge fried the circuitry because my phone won't turn on. I took it to an at&t service center and they confirmed that.

I was given a t-mobile motorolla razor, which I cannot use until I enter the subsidy password code.

I just read willyinpr4u's post [below] offering to send the code to someone else if it is allowed, and a later post saying there was a PM sent to that person with it.

Willyinpr4u, I tried to send a private message and an email to you to ask you for the code but I had to post five times. -shrugs- So, if it is allowed, could I impose upon you to send the code to me, as well?

    Thank-you!

    Re: Unlock t-mobile's subsidy password

I offer to send the instruction to Suthrnblu and I did. Your motorola from T-Mobile have a network lock. There is one way to get it, and that is calling ATT , or go to the web site, and you should be able to get the subsidy code with no problem. What kind of Rzr is it? There are some that you can change the firmware and could unlock it. Some you have to test point. Post the info. about your phone to see if I can help you.

    Re: Unlock t-mobile's subsidy password

Ok, I see the firmware is new, start with 444. It means that it needs to be unlock with test point. I'm not sure but I think this one is a little bit different from the Razr V series. The V series you take the bottom part apart, and the do the test point to unlock it. I search a little bit more in this forum and if I find anything else about L7 I will let you know. Mean while go to youtube and search for videos "test point", see what you come up with. Good luck.
