Help! Frozen texting!

So, my RAZR will let me receive and check texts, but once I chose to reply, it goes to the reply page and then freezes up. I shut my phone to exit it, but it doesnt exit. Does anyone know how to fix it?

What I've had to do is turn it off..... take the battery out.... let it sit for a while..(5-10 minutes) then it seems to be okay after that.... If it continues then it may need to be taken back for repair or used as a rock and skimmed out on a lake...

lol i know... but theyre great for texting lol but thats about it... my battery lasts maybe about 3 hours before i have to recharge it... i dont know whether to invest in a new battery or not...
