I have the original Razr from Sprint, not the Razr 2. Anyway, when I'm texting, say I wanted to type "aaa". Do I have to wait for the A to stop flashing each time before I can hit it again? Or is there a button that maybe goes to the next space?

yes, there is a button to advance the cursor. after you have the desired character, you can hit the right navigation button. its the circular thing in the middle of the keyboard that lets you go through menus. or you could wait till the a stops flashing

Unfortunately, when I press the right navigation button, it skips to the NEXT space, leaving a blank space after the previous letter. Same with the left navigation, only in the oposite direction, and the up and down ones do nothing.

if it is skipping a space when you press the right navigation button, you are waiting too long to press it and it has already cleared your previosuly typed letter.

As soon as you press 'a' (your example) press the right side of the circular pad. If you wait for the 'a' to clear itself of being highlighted or the cursor to advance, you will advance a space. Of course if you wait for the cursor to advance, you might as well just press the 'a' again.

I just tried this on the V3a and it works as has been described.

I just tried it, and If I'de be pressing the Right navigation key any sooner it would be before I hit the letter. The Razr is "Gun Metal" colored, if that helps, and as I said beofore it's from sprint. The only way I have found to make it work is press the Right Navigational key, then the Left one, causing it to go back to the space after the typed letter.

Is it a new phone? Wonder if it is the new Razr Ve20, which I have, and I do notice sometimes it works as YOU describe with regards to the right navigation key. I cannot eplxain why it does this other than the predictive text is SO much faster on the Ve20 than any other Motorola phone I've had.

curious if you have iTap (or the sprint equivalent of predictive text) activated. If so, this may be what is causing that behaviour. Try turning it off and use the simple Abc, abc, or ABC entry mode.
click my username and then the link for my "homepage" to get some useful info on hacking the Razr.

I know what your talking about, and Its in ABC mode. Also, the cell phone is about one and a half years old, closer to two years, so it's not new. The battery life shortened out on me, so I got the Rumor, but it recently broke so I'm using the Razr again. Anyway, I just asume do it by pressing the right navigation key then followed by the left, it gets the job done in good enough time. Thanks for your help though

Edit: Fixed it!!! Turns out I had "Auto Space" turned on in the Settings menu. Thanks for your help! (Even though no one figured it out

I have had the original razr and I now have the krzr, they are pretty much the same and when you are wanting to text something like aaa you don't have to press the left directional key all you have to do is press 0 and it will take care of that!
