I recently purchased a new V3xx back in April, the phone has been excellent. I installed a Bluetooth hands-free car kit in my truck about 2 months ago. Ever since I have installed this kit my cell phone can't & will not get a signal unless it is inside the charging cradle of the truck. But of course at this time it has connected to the Bluetooth system when I turn on the keys. I can turn the truck off and it ( phone ) immediately looses signal to nothing. I turn the truck on and bam signal is back on, only if its in the cradle. There is no sigal with the truck on and the phone laying in the seat. So I bought and external antenna for it 2 weeks ago so I could have the phone in my office and it powered up with the EDGE signal to about 2 bars. But it would loose signal in and out through-out the day. I use to have the 3G showing at the office when I first got it but now it bounces in betweed the EDGE & the GPRS signals. I took it to AT&T to see if there was something that had to reset when the car stereo shop installed the Bluetooth and they said that there was'nt nothing like that to be done. And of course I had no signal in the parking lot but as soon as I walked in the store it had full service 3G connection everything. ANd when I'm at home it locks into signal w/o any issues, but at this point the phone is useless to me if I can't carry it on my hip in the field like I'm needing it to be. Would you think the internal antenna is damaged or is there a setting that is turned on or off that keeping it from getting a signal. Any information would greatly help me out.
