    Re: VE 20 Ringtone Help

I'm looking for the same help as you. I had to upgrade to Motorola Phone Tools 5.13b before it would recognize my VE 20. MPT comes with a melody editor to create and download custom ringtones to your Motorola phone, but guess what, it's not compatable with a VE 20. It doen't even show up on the menu. I've tried creating ringtones with other applications and transferring the files onto my phone, but they aren't recognized as ringtones.

Has anyone out there accomplished what we only hope to???????????

my girlfriend has the VE 20...and likes it so far....she was been bluetoothing all of her custom made ring tones to her phone and it lets her use them....i also have the data-packet from my old krazr...and i make custom ring tones with that and then blue tooth them to her...and it works....

I have the LG Rhythm....and you can't make ring tones for it....it sucks....

Sorry if i am reviving a dead thread but this is what I found on a google search I too have a VE20 from alltel and I just recently (2 days ago) figured out how to get my home brew ringtones on it. I needed "RSD Lite_v4.4.1.zip", "P2KCommander-v6.0.0.0.zip", and "Motorola USB Drivers - USB_Driver_32.zip" a USB Cable and my desktop with Win XP (32-bit, DOn't know if 64 will work or not) after installing all needed drivers and whatnot, open RSD and have it run in the background then open P2k and go to a/brew/mod/my_ringers and copy mp3's there then after finishing close out programs and turn off the phone for a sec, (Mine lagged and I took out the battery to reset) then turn back on and all should work fine, Mine does.
