My son decided to take my phone into the bathtub with him. Dont think it was in there long but either way it got wet. I left the battery out for a day and it mostly works now. First problem is the #8 key I have to push really hard to get it to accept an input. That problem i can work around though. The main problem is when I am on a call the other person cannot understand me. They say it sounds like I'm in a tin can. I know the water caused this but is there anything i can do besides get a new phone? At this point the phone can only be used for texting and calls are impossible because of this.

Re: V3M put into water
when water dries it leaves behind anything that was in the water, like minerals, and in your case soap. This gets between buttons and microphones and prevents them from working properly. The only thing you could do is carefully take the phone apart and clean it with 100% pure alcohol. It sounds like you'd be better off getting a new phone - the v3 is getting to be old anyway

Re: V3M put into water
Exact same thing happened to my phone... buttons messed up. Although they were pretty messed up beforehand..
