I have a V3C and i had a copy of motorola phone tools from when i bought the phone when it first came out. since the phone needed to be replaced i wanted to get the pictures off the phone. i plugged the phone into the app and got a a message that i had to update the software. after so doing i got another message to the same effect. i believe that i upgraded phone tools to the current version. after plugging the phone in, it stopped booting and instead of the verizon wireless splash screen, i see that screen for a moment and then a new screen that says "bootloader usb Init" and a blue backgrouns with the motorola logo and a swirl like object around it.

i spent several hours on the phone with level 2 techs at motorola and went around in circles. i was told to use the old version 3.0 and reconnect the phone and i would boot or that i had to find a company that would "flash" the software back. i live in nyc and have no idea how to do this. verizon refuses to help and the company that made the software doesnt support this version any more.

when i put the phone in it cant be detected and if i try to do it manually after finding modem 2 i am not sure what to do becuase the phone isnt even listed in the options.

to make matters worse, when installing the software it was so ols it just wanted to roll back current versions of my some of my software files, which i was afraid to do (the phone is several years old) but i am not even sure i know which files i ended up overwriting

i have read some of the posts and am completley confused. is there any way to get the phone to boot and get the pics. i dont even care if the phone works otherwise
