Is there anyway to remove the phones own ringtone files to leave more memory for the mp3's . As there's no delete feature on the sound menu when you hi'lite one of them.

    removing OEM ringtones

According to the manual there is no way to remove the original ringtones or wallpaper for that matter. Maybe someone has a way round that......anyone?

Yeah you can. It's dead easy.

You just need a program called p2kman (you can get it from www.vstuff.co.uk) and a usb cable (might work with bluetooth too, haven't tried it).

This allows you to delete all the default files on the phone, including wallpapers, ringtones, videos etc.

Just a quick point, deleting the built in videos and wallpapers will cause no problems but be very careful when deleting the built in ringtones.

If you want to remove them, make sure that you set all the style tones (for Loud, Soft etc) to silent before you remove any of the files. If you don't, you won't be able to make any changes on the style menu.

Some people recommend leaving all the .imy files in place anyway, even if they're not assigned. Also make sure you delete the file "MyToneDB.db" so that your phone can rebuild it when you reset it.

It can be a bit hazerdous deleting the built in files, but you will get more space. I have 6932 Kb free now on my v600.
