Motorola memory question?

I have a Motorola V400 from Cingular. I have a question about the Total available memory on the phone. When I go to the "View Free Space" from the Multimedia menu, the "Total" has dropped.

When I first received the phone, it showed 5130 Kb. Then it showed 5069 Kb. Now it shows 5068 Kb.

Is this normal for Motorola phones to have a drop in the Total memory?

This is what the screen looks like:

Free: 4530 Kb
Used: 537 Kb
Total: 5068 Kb <----- This is the number that has decreased.
