    Is it true that you can move a "chip" from one phone to another that transfers your new to the new phone? If so, where can I go to find out more?

    Thanks for the reply.....I have service with ATT, I have a Motorola 60i, about 2 years old. it is not GSM. can i buy a cheap used phone on ebay? does it have to be the same model? manufacturer? are there drawings to show me where the chips are in the phones?

    If you have an att phone that is not GSM then it does not have the chip in it. You can get any att phone and activate it but you will have to call them.
