Question: i830 - Call Alert

I just recently got the i830.. and i've been tryin to figure out what the call alert is for? I'm not sure what it does... i'd appreciate some help. Thanks

call alert would give you a listing of the people who have sent you a direct connect alert if you were not there to answer them. If you had a couple people alert you while you were away from your phone it could come up in that list.

Thanks for the call alert help, also... anyone know how to figure out what someone's private is???

it varies a little phone to phone but generally you go into menu, then look for the 'my info' tab, then go to 'direct connect'

If you Mike is a new activation, and you cell/mike number is (e.g: 666-555-1234 ) Then your DC number will be 555*1234. You can try that if you want to reach someone that your not sure about is DC number.

Direct Connect has a different number then the phone number you use and Alert I think is only for Nextel users its like a little page instead of DCing them you can just Alert and when they get it they'll contact you back.
