#1 | | Member | okay, i have a v300..
bought the official motorola usb cable [ $30 ].. DOWNLOADED mobile phone tools, okay now i follow the instructions and during installation it gives me an error about some registry, i ignored it and went on..
okay so heres the deal: the program wont recognize my v300.
should i uninstall it, or is there any other way?
or any OTHER PROGRAM someone can suggest? thanks in advance

#5 | | Thief of Time | It seems to be a problem with the usb drivers, for some reason you have to install them first before connecting your cable. Remove the device from your hardware profiles and try that (if you haven't already) let me know if that fixes it. | | |

#7 | | Thief of Time | Let windows do the search for best driver, if it doesn't find it then try that (only because if you point it to the wrong driver file it my take longer than nessassary (sp) | | |

#8 | | Member | Before posting, i uninstalled a few times and it searched for drivers, but couldnt find any so the driver installation was sorta corrupt and canceled half way.. so i will try the p2k method and see how it goes | | |

#13 | | Thief of Time | Go to your control panel and system, device manager and look for a di=evice with a ! next to it or a usb modem or something that has your phone model # next to it (find the=at and let me know what it says) | | |

is this strange? should i plug in the usb end of the motorola cable and wait a minute for it to detect it? and am i supposed to install the p2kman b4 the detection of the v300 or after?
