Problems w/Mobile Phone Tools on V505

Hello!

I just got a Motorola V505 on ebay and it came with a USB data cable and a burned copy of the Mobile Phone Tools Ver. "1.2" and ver. "2.21B Us.exe"

I've got all the live updates and after spending all that time downloading and installing, installing, and installing all the downloaded updates, it's still not working for me.

Infact, on the cell phone screen thing, it says:

Phone Image Not Available
Initializing...

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. The auctioner who sold the phone to me told me directly that it worked for her when she used it, but when I recieved it and popped the CD in my computer it did not work. I have emailed her over and over again, but that person is not replying back to me. (I think she/he is ignoring my email now).

I know there are other threads on the same topic, but I have found no direct anwser to my problem. If someone could kindly reply and tell me what I'm doing wrong I would extremely appreciate it. I have Windows 2000 by the way.

Don't buy phones off of E-Bay.

Only buy USB cables off of E-Bay.

Whats wrong with buying phones off of ebay? and I already have the USB cable, I'm just having trouble setting this stupid phone up and do not understand how to work this.

Can you tell me how?
