I have a boost i860, w/ a different carrier, is there any way I can get it set to send texts? it says it's out of service, storing message in sent folder

Why does it do that? I can receive texts fine, but they go in as sms texts whereas on boost I receive them as web inbox things...

I'd like to get the SMS feature working...

and the web feature doesn't work either, does the same thing... out of area and what not,

is the boost part built into the phone? and can I get it taken out?

    thanks

iconnect, i'm on guam... but all the other phones here are nextel makes, so... yeah, I was thinking that the phone was made specific to boost and would need to be updated or something.

I don't know if this will be of any help. I have a boost mobile motorola i830. I'm with Nextel. In order to be able to send text messages, I have to pay for them. Like $5.00 for 100 text messages. Since I don't want to pay for text messaging, I can only recieve them but I cannot send them. When I do recieve texts, they also go to SMS. Now web access should come with your phone when you get it activated. Maybe there's a problem. You should call your company and have them check it out. My phone came with web access automatically. One day it went out and I had to call Nextel and they had to restore it. I don't think the boost feature has anything to do with what's going wrong. Your best bet is to just call your company and see what's going on.
