I'm running a V400. I've downloaded the connection manager tools from Cingular and called Cingular to get them to help me set it up. They were happy to help me provided that I subscribed to a $79.99 Data Service Plan. I'm not digging this. I've downloaded the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools and have no joy there either.

So now I try to use my V400 as a modem. Should work right? My XP Laptop recognizes the modem. Even attempts to dial out whatever number i tell it to. But after dialing the phone immediatly gives me a Three Tone Error message and the connection is closed.

Motorola sez there is no way to use this phone as I dial out modem. I seem to think that one amongst us has gotten it figured out. Can that someone please lead me to the light?

Sorry I've tried and searched everywhere, the other forum I visit handles phones like ours and only phones like ours (motorola vxxx series) and to my dismay even though your computer or laptop in your case my detect it as a modem there is no real way as of yet (possibly if you know alot about seem editing) to do this. If you happen to find a way please share.
