OK, so. I KNOW everything there is to know about this phone. EXCEPT.. WHY THE HE_ _ is it when I send a pic to my email address it is a .bin file and not a JPEG?? I cannot open a .bin file! What is a .bin file? how can I convert it?? I HAD Verizon, and all I had to do was send it to any email addy and it would open or save as a jpeg!!?? ALSO> The battery is not acceptable at all for this phone. It runs down so quickly even with the screen saver and all else turned off! I live in St louis and I still get a crappy signal. May has well forget about driving in a car and talkin, due to the fact the static is so crappy. I even condition the battery correctly, allowing it to fully discharge 3 times. IS THERE A WAY TO TURN OFF THE ANNOYING BATTERY LOW BEEP!!
Thanks to ALL of you that respond and help me!! FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME AT [email protected]!!

Easy question first, turning down the volume is the only way that I know of to get rid of the low batt beep, second my guess is you have cingular, cuz of the crappy singal, (not a whole lot you can do about that) but as far as the battery goes if your phone is less than a year old it should still be under warranty, give your provider a call and let them know about your delema. They should send you a battery free of charge without asking for your old one, even if they do it's a crappy batt so no loss. If I'm not mistaken this phone only supports gif format pics (I could be wrong) but if you can find out your phones e-mail (easy way of doing that is to e-mail a message to your computers e-mail) just e-mail it directly to your phone. I wasn't sure if thats what you meant by "send a pic to my e-mail". I also got an invalid battery on my phone with the same problem as your and a new battery fixed it. Good luck!

The e-mail settings for my V551 is giving me fits. On my messages menu at the 'E-mail messages' link, every time I select it I'm told my "E-mail message inbox requires setup". I've tried everything I can think of for these settings and can't make anything happen. I've used the Cingular site for help with setting up mail, but their instructions were fuzzy, at best.
I'm probably overlooking something quite simple, so if anyone can guide me through my phone's e-mail settings I would be grateful.
