also "anothertip" when you look at your card on your computer, after the phone has automatically setup the file system you will see directories or (folders) on your card, open the "motorola" folder and just browse through the shared folder and you will see different folders, for different types of files. you will have a folder for pictures and one for music and one for ringtones, use these folders for the types of files you want to store, that way your phone can find them easier, but your phone will regonize any file stored on your card without using folders too , whatever way will work but thats up too you if you like to keep your stuff organized or not. lol good luck and sorry if this is pretty self explanitory for people familiar with computer software, but i hope this helps the people that arent.... good luck and have fun

its pretty basic though on any phone ,
1st thing go into your menu, then look for messaging icon or option, once youve found this get into messaging, then go to create new message, then go to create either TXT message or PIXT message whichever one you want select it, then enter the person arecode and phone number no dashes, then hit next or ok then type the messsage you want using your numerical keypad, after you have your message created hit, next, ok ,or done whichever it says, then hit send or done and thats all there is to it....your essage should be sent
