I have an i730 and used this software (free from motorola) to capture my phone number data into a ".cop" file. It displays OK, but I can't print it, which I need to do. Can anyone help? Thanks

Thanks. Now I have to get the .xls file into an .mdb format so I can use Motorola's latest attempt at contact software, "phonebook manager". Any (most appreciated) ideas here? Nick

I am not a fan of Phonebook Manager, companion pro was so much better

I am in the middle of Companion Pro's failure! I have 300+ numbers backed up to it's .cop file when I lost my phone. Now I find out that Motorola has completely abandoned CP in favor of Phonebook Manager. No compatibility of the .cop file in PM. I cut/pasted all records into Excel and am manually inputting into PM. Aaarrrggghhhh.

    cp to pbm conversion

try copying your excel sheet into ms access and you should be able to pull it directly to phone book manager

Thanks for all help. I went from cut/past into excel, then copy/paste into phonebook manager. Took about 3 hours, but edited and updated along the way. Phonebook manager is TEN TIMES the program that CP was. It is easy to use, has a print, sort, editing, and IS an access database. To get a .cop file into access would have meant creating the table structure from scratch, major PITA. Anyway, problem solved, lesson learned and major thanks to twin88cam and 1badass for help
    Nick
