Help with my v551 - it randomly turns off

i bought my v551 about 40 days ago and have had a pretty good experience with it so far. but lately, about 2 days ago, it started turning off randomly even though it said the battery was full. So i though that maybe the battery was defective so i plugged it in and came back 20 mins later to get it and it had turned off again.

Does anyone know what might cause this? I heard somewhere that motorolla released a batch of defective v551s, so is it possible that i have one of these?

Make sure the battery is sitting properly on the base of the phone but most likely it sounds like your phone is defective, your phone has a one year warranty so if need be you can get it replaced for free...good luck.

I got one and if I knew what I know now, I would have just kept my old phone.

My battery only lasts about 1 1/2 days. I wonder if it's a bad phone too!

just like any electronic device there will be some bad units...

that's about average, keep in mind that the more talktime, games, picture taking, messaging, etc, eats up battery stand-by time.
also re-adjusting settings like display stand-by time and key-pad saves battery life.
