V3 not seeing HS850....

Got a new RAZR a week or so ago, through Amazon's rebate program, along with an HS850 Bluetooth adapter. Followed all the instructions to a T, and with the phone and headset sitting basically on top of each other, the phone doesn't "see" the headset. Any suggestions, or do I just have a bad phone?

When you power on your headset is it blinking or just a steady light and also did you charge your headset?

Reboot? A simple on/off, or something more involved?

the problem was that the instructions in the 850 manual left out a key fact. if you hold the "on" button down until the light comes on, you have just turned it on in the flashing stage. this won't work. you have to hold it down for another second or two, which will turn the blue light on solid, at which time the phone will find it. the Cingular guy that fixed it stated that he had problems too, until he figured out the "trick"... works great now.
