I was able to unlock a HP H6315 after signing up with them. I requested the code and they emailed it to me. They have no reason not to provide you the unlock code, ESPECIALLY if you are on a 1-2-3 year contract!!!! Call them again!

#3 | | Phone Addict | If T-mobile is the provider, they do give you the code. Just tell them you need to go out of the country and want to use a local provider while you are there.
Otherwise just go to a retailer who has one of those smart hardware units that can unlock the phone. They may do it for a few bucks.

That is an option but ultimately, if you go to T-Mobile, IT IS FREE!!!

HI,
Ok, tomorrow i will forward you contact information of a local agent that unlocks phones, it will cost but this appears to be the only way to proceed. Also, i am not sure if he will be able to do REMOTE UNLOCK but you will know by tomorrow.

#9 | | Phone Addict | If any retailer near your place has the smart unlock device, he can unlock the phone for about $10 or so.
