I've been reading this forum and don't see any mention of a replacement for the v710. The verizon dealer that I've been going to keeps telling me that they're going to get the new ones in any day now. As a matter of fact I returned a v710 and they gave me a loaner phone (that sucks) until the new one comes in. Is there even going to be a replacement for the v710? Supposedly it was supposed to happen in June.

    See More: replacement for v710?

Since the manufacturer of this phone is Motorola I am going to move this thread into that part of this forum.
Perhaps you'll find your answer there...

I'm sorry to bump this question, but I feel like somebody has to know the answer to this. Every verizon dealer I go to is talking about the new verizon bluetooth phone that's coming out in June to replace the v710. Well it's July and it's still not here. Has no one heard of this?

Yes I saw it, The new motorola thats coming out for replacement of the v710 looks simular to the v710 however it doesnt have blue tooth. From what I read and saw of it, the look almost the same, some minor modifications of the v710 but nothing I would wait for.

The E815 is Bluetooth capapable but the ability to transfer audio and images via Bluetooth is crippled just like on the v710..

Aj327, the E815 is out now, just in case you're still waiting, i was comparing it to the v710 and i think i like the v710 better aestetics wise.

Everything I've read states that the E815 is the V710 with a few updates and a new look. This is the phone I'll be getting in a couple weeks when my current plan runs out.

Since then, I have read several dozen forums of the e815.Since my 15 day trail was still good for my 710.I exchanged it for the 815. Much better then the black front, better looking, easyier to hack and less bugs. U can also read more reviews on www.phonescoop.com.

From what I have seen and heard, the 815 is a lot better than my 710. Yes, it is crippled as the updated 710 is, but; looks are better, feel is way better (the brushed metal is so much more appealing), the keys are actually easier to use (especially for texting), and to me the inside screen looks way, way clearer.

This is just from me playing with one at a Verizon Store now, and not actually owning one. I do own a V710 though, so do have something to go by.

I think I am going to wait until the end of the year and get me the new CDMA Razr that the CDMA network is going to get. My fellow Mods (Tony in particular) have praised this phone highly, and so I think it's worth waiting for.

The only major diffrence on the 2 phones is that the Motorola 815 is EVDO capable, giving the user the abilty to use Vcast... there are no other diffrence internally.
