I've decided to purchase a Motorola v180. I've read some pretty mixed reviews, some even saying that the phone broke randomly. I'm wondering if Motorola has done anything to fix the phone, it's been awhile since the phones been out. I don't want to buy a phone that's so prone to breaking,so any help is appreciated.

When you say "broke randomly" are you refering to software issues?
if that's the case that happens with all phones really, there will always be a small batch that comes with minor issues but you sould be ok with your v180.

Well, I worded that wrong. What I was referring to were things likes this (quoting CNet reviews):
After three months, the screen decided to go blank, for no reason. I did not drop the phone, nor did I flip it too aggressively. After my fiasco, I found out from the sales representatives at my provider's store that many people had experienced the same problem I had.
That being said, what "software" issues were you referring to?

My friend has been though five of them, the screen went blank on the first four, he did not drop it or anything, it just died out. He keep getting new ones under warrenty and now the one he got has been fine for almost a year. Someone else I know had the same problem with the screen blacking out and had to get his replaced. This was about a year ago, maybe it was a bad batch and it solved now? Either way I would stay away from it.
