Need help with phone tools

I have a motorola v220! I've download motorola phone tools, and i've transferred pics through a usb cable. Now i can't get the phone to transfer my ringtone i've created???? Not sure what to do?

What has worked for me is to download some midi files of whatever song I want off the internet. I then use MPT to transfer them to the phone. MP3's don't seem to work on it for some reason. I'm figuring they may be too long in length cuz one of my friends, has a friend who took an mp3 & shortened it & put it online & that seems to work on my V220. Good luck!
