bluetooth dongle better than USB cable?

hello. I have a moto v505 and I cannot connect it to the PC at all (I got it to work once...). I have been using a USB cable and using MPT. It will connect but if I touch the phone - even just a little - it'll disconnect. Most of the time it wont even finish intitializing.

just wondering if you guys recommend me getting a dongle....

do you still need to use MPT if you use a dongle?

btooth all the way, you can use that dongle for an array of things and with diff makes of electronics, whereas the usb cable is propietary moto crap.
