Sorry if this is a repost. While tooling around with my RAZR phone and remembering reading somewhere that there is no way to save the picture you have just taken quickly without having to press "Store" etc (two sequence of questions), I have found an easy way to quickly save the image without doing anything.

After you took the picture, just close the phone and it will be automatically stored.

I was surpised as how simple it was. Now I simply love my phone even better. I use the phone a lot to take some pictures on the road while driving and it was a pain to go through all those questions whether I want to store it and whether I want to send in MMS message, etc.

Doesn't always go as planned, you can actually corrupt these file when doing this and end up with a white image an image with no color at all and even disable the abilty to take pictures (the last one can be cured with a master reset) I found out the hard way and lost a lot of sentimental pics that I hadn't transfered yet but if your looking for a way to take a quick pic and have nothing to lose ( as of yet I don't know if there are worse things that can happen) than go for it. Just making sure you know the downside.

I do not understand why this can cause some losses or problems. When you close the phone, after a second or more there is a message on the small exterior display that the message xxxxxxxx (title) was saved to the phone successfully. So, imho, this implies, that this "feature" was built in the phone and I do not understand how the built-in feature can affect anything in a bad way. However, it is true that it is not mentioned in the manual but I think, the manual, that comes with the phone (at least in the US with cingular) is one of the worst manuals I saw. It does not explain all the features.

Yes it does leave out a number of features, but I'm just going from my own experiences, this also happened with my v300 as well.

Guess I will avoid doing it then, thanks for the heads up, I would rather not have to master reset my phone. And I actually did get the white picture thing when I was playing with it ealier.

That's strange. It works for me without any white pictures.

Give it time, it would be a great thing but even the user notes state there is no real way of taking a "quick pic" and it takes about 5 sec or so for the phone to reload the camera anyway so you may as well not take the risk, it takes that long to store it (if your fast)
